cara-caranya ialah :

tumis bahan kisar, kulit kayu manis, bunga lawang hingga garing

masukkan daging

gaul dan masak hingga sebati

masukkan sedikit air dan masak lagi hingga daging empuk

masukkan kacang panjang, santan dan kerisik

kacau hingga tangan lenguh hehehe.....

pastuh kacau sampai ikut suka lah nak pekat mana kuahnya-kering ke atau sedikit berkuah

masukkan daun kunyit yang dihiris tu, kacau lagi dan lagi.. hehhe

perasakan dengan garam dan nise atau gula

tips : nak best lagi sangai (goreng tanpa minyak) dulu ketumbar dan jintan tuh. santan kalau boleh bahagi dua, pekat dan cair. masukkan yang cair dulu bila dah agak mendidih masukkan pula yang pekat. pastuh kalau daging tu nak diperap dulu separuh dengan bahan kisar pun boleh.. pepandai lah ye.. saya stok malas nyer.. hehe. semoga menjadik!!!

lauk apa hari ini?

am not that good at cooking. mmg langsung tak pandai. tak biasa di dapur. tapi ni antara masakan for dinner hari ni. kebetulan lak dpt beli ketam semlm. apa lagik, goreng tempe, buat sambal tempoyak kacau dan masak lauk gulai lemak cilipadi ketam. lauk ni sedap dimakan depan tv. taking own sweet time ratah ketam. best ooo.... saya kureng sket makan bende pelik2 cam ketam ke ikan terubuk ke kat kedai. sebab rasa tak selesa takleh buat aksi aksi ganas time makan dan tak puas rasanya. tapi kalau kat rumah tu, heheheheh mcm2 aksi muka leh nampak. pendek kata kalau dpt gambo candid, adoiiiii malunya aii.. tapi best dan nikmat. MR HUBBY siap cicah ngan roti gulai lemak nieh. alhamdulillah la dia suka. tak sia sia masak. eheheh

kadangkala kita tidak tahu tahap sabar kita

hmmm.... skrg ni aku rasa stressed dengan pelbagai masalah. mungkin itu yang mendorong aku menulis post nieh. kadangkala kita tidak tahu tahap sabar yang ada pada diri kita. sehinggalah kita mengalami pelbagai ujian dari Allah. rupa-rupanya sabar kita sudah mencapai tahap supernova, dan kita sentiasa ingat bahawa Allah tidak akan menguji hambanya jika Dia tahu hambanya tidak mampu mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi. kadangkala di waktu-waktu inilah iman kita mudah tercabar. kita mudah mempersoalkan apa yang terjadi. risau di hati takut itu akan menjadikan kita murtad kerana tidak percayakan Qada dan Qadar. Ya Allah, kau kuatkanlah hati hambamu. mungkin ini balasan dosa dosa yang kita lakukan. Allah sayangkan hambanya. ini kita akan sedar kadangkala kita ingatkan diri kita sudah jauh, rupa rupanya masih ada cahaya di sebalik segala yang terjadi ini. untuk melaluinya, kita akan rasa bende bende ini amatlah mustahil. tapi lama kelamaan percayalah, segalanya akan bertambah baik. namun kita kena melaluinya, bukan melarikan diri darinya.

kecewa dgn teater Laksamana Do Re Mi

semlm pegi tgk bangsawan seri resam Darul ehsan di Panggung Bandaraya. teater komedi bertajuk Laksamana Do Re Mi karya asal P Ramlee itu telah diberi nafas baru. pada tahun lepas kumpulan teater yang sama telah membawa naskah Semerah Padi, juga adaptasi dr tajuk filem terkenal Allahyarham P Ramlee. 

namun apa yang agak mengecewakan adalah :

1. jalan cerita yang agak membosankan . saya tak pernah rasa mengantuk semasa menonton teater tetapi kali ini, pada teater Matinee (jam 3 petang) saya terasa agak mengantuk. 

2. terlalu ramai watak ataupun karakter lelaki yang menyerupai perempuan. apakah tiada cara lain untuk menjadikan jalan cerita itu menarik dari mengetengahkan karakter lelaki berpakaian perempuan. 

3. persembahan yang menjelikkan. persembahan tarian tradisional yang kasar, dan persembahan tarian moden yang agak seksi. dr segi tarian yang ditonjolkn, penari2 terlampau banyak bergelek dan ada ketikanya gelek itu memualkan. malah saya ada membawa beberapa pelajar yang tutup muka sebab tidak mahu menonton tarian tersebut. oh ya, dan beberapa penari lelaki memang terlalu 'lembut' sampai budak saya kata 'lelaki dah macam perempuan. geli lah cikgu'. adoiiii malunya saya membawa mereka menonton cerita ini. lupakah mereka kanak-kanak akan ramai menonton teater komedi ini? 

namun, ada juga plus points untuk teater ini:

1. tahniah pada watak Do Re Mi kerana mereka bertiga memang betul-betul well.. hmm kelakar. tahniah pd Man Belon kerana kami tidak jemu-jemu melihat lagaknya dan bahasa badannya. tiada watak yang bertiga ini, maka teater tersebut sudah tentu sangat gagal di mata saya

2. ada ketikanya aksi-aksi di dalam cerita itu memang kelakar contohnya sewaktu buluh runcing diberi

3. effect yang hebat- dengan smoke machine, bantuan dr segi kostum, setting dan lain-lain. 

apa-apapun saya sangat berharap pelajar pelajar saya akan terus menonton teater.

penatnya br balik training tarian. just got back from my dance class. but surprisingly, i feel well.. hmm lighter. coz i could do 2 dance routines today! hahaha.... hmmm today i didn;t  eat much... just some rice with tomyam and fried chicken (couldn't resist the temptation...and well, no choice anyway at the school canteen). just a quarter of rice. and iced nescafe, and for lunch, iced tea with two small packets of peanuts. yup full till now. (5.15p.m) still not hungry. perhaps because i've been exercising. and yeah for dinner, i might just grab one apple and drink my anlene. MIGHT!  ...heheh nothing much to describe. i think i'm getting more comfy with the diet programme. perhaps because i am always cautious with whatever i eat. though i still eat carbs and well. some oily food, couldnt stay away totally just yet, i make sure i dont eat much and try to snack with fruits or just drink plain water if i am that hungry.

hmm.. today even if i dont feel like doing it, i have to work out. i ate nasi lemak which according to cekodok.com , contains : Carbs 232.8, Fat 117.9, Protein 38.8. yes! i'm definitely in big trouble. thanx to English in Camp. (i need to put the blame on somebody or something right?) so what am i supposed to do now that i know i have failed my diet prog for today? well, here's my plan :

1. at 5, i will go out and walk down and up the Bukit Permai hill. on my way up, i would definitely take some time watching the view of KL from the lookout point. i will post some pics later. yup.. i need to show u the evidence right? 
2. no lunch. i had to skip my lunch and surprisingly, am still full (now is 3.15 p.m)
3. dinner? what dinner?. my anlene again. i regard anlene somehow as my life saviour coz i find it pretty filling and plus the high calcium helps my body a lot too. 


okay... now i need to do some housechores as well.... and i'm watching youtube videos for simple exercises that i can do while being a couch potato... lalala

my diet was being sabotaged!!! hheheh... this evening i really need to work out.i have eaten nasi lemak which is according to cekodok.com , it contains 232.8 of carbs, 117.9 of fat and 38.8 of protein!!!arghhhhhhh... i'm having a problem. all this is due to the food prepared for teachers during the English in Camp today.. hmmmm so my plan is :

1. walk around the neighbourhood and watch the great view of KL. i stay in Bukit Permai which there is a KL lookout point near my house.

hari kedua - lapar... early morning i was so hungry that when i had my brunch at 10, my pinggan was so licin sampai my colleague perli. i need to buy fruits for snacking lah. hmmm so far so good... my meal for today :

breakfast + brunch = small amount of rice with ikan keli (a bit oily lah today...no choice at the canteen)
snack = one banana
tea = iced tea (still have problems getting rid of ice)
dinner = a glass of anlene and one slice of bread (before 7.30 p.m)


exercise ? = dance training today-jogging? tak leh cik abg ada rumah today hehehe

calorie counter

giler lah.. i've checked my weight and the calorie counter says that i have to lose 1760 calories per day... and climbing stairs for one hour per day pun baru 780 calories.... mamposssssssssss

Catatan si obese 1

hmmm so my Biggest Loser programme has started. and today is my first day..  yay!! well... i'm planning to loose at least 2kilos this month. hopefully my diet plan works.i'm planning to take up dance classes again next year so i have to stick to my diet or else i will have problems bending my body and working out the dance routine. hmmmm i have not started exercising yet. planned to jog around my neighbourhood but it seems to rain almost everyday here in Ampang so i guess i have to change the exercising part to doing housechores instead. (it's not an excuse okay..it rained for a couple of minutes just now!!... but i DO want to jog... let see if i manage to do it tomorrow. some ppl suggested me to buy the work-out machines but i guess it's wayyyy to expensive. i wont spend 300-500 just for a machine that i am not sure if i would use it for a long time. knowing me, who is usually bersemangat only for a few days.. 


my aim this month : lose 2 kg and above
the calorie my body needs : 1865.4 (calculation - www.cekodok.com)


hmmm.....anyway, i had breakfast at 10 (not 7.30 as i normally did)... i would say it was 'brunch' anyway coz i didnt have lunch.. i had rice, with some paru and ayam kicap. dont want it to be too drastic for me. and i had iced nescafe to keep me awake... heheh i beli some jambu and coconut drink for my sort of 'tea'. for dinner, i might eat a slice of leftover pizza. i dont know how to count the calorie...can somebody help me with this??? the difference between before the prog and today?


last week : 
- breakfast at 7.30 (nasi lemak / fried rice with egg or chicken and some kueh)

- lunch at 12.30 (rice, with chicken and vege and sambal and some kuah)

The Biggest Loser in 2 days!!!

so i've decided to join this programme  not the programme on national tv but a similar form of the biggest loser, diet prog with friends. mula2, i was kinda reluctant to join, knowing how 'rajin' i am to exercising tapi after being convinced by them  (though it is still shadowy to me sebenarnya) i somehow agree to join, hopefully the semangat continues la.  so people, i will post almost everything on my journey to becoming the biggest loser HERE on my blog including my daily journal (obviously), the frustrations, my personal challenges, rewards, etc etc. hopefully i will have the guts to post the pics also  anyway the rules for our prog :
1. no medication allowed.. 
2. last weight count will be after raya (which is going to be a challenge also with the rendang etc) ---end of september 2010
3. measurement - the percentage of loss to choose the winner

seni di jalanan masih mampu menarik perhatian

baru2 ni pergi ke central market (CM) yang dah berkurun tak pergi. saja bawak bebudak lepas training untuk kenal CM.. diorg tak kenal CM dah skrg bebudak nih! konon nak pegi carik kerincing nak wat show bulan lima nieh. tapi harga kerincing naik giller sampai 60rm satu. baik saya ubah koreography dan pakai prop yg lebih murah. tak balik modal! anyway lepas dah jalan jalan, saya bawak la bebudak ni ke sebelah tempat org seniman seniman jalanan membuat persembahan. dulu suka sgt pergi situ. anda akan lihat keikhlasan berkarya dan keindahan sesuatu seni itu. hari itu, cuma ada seorang je seniman jalanan disitu, memperjudikan nasib menghiburkan pengunjung di situ. tiada seorang pun yang memberi duit ke apa ke. tapi masih ramai yang berhenti mendengar. dengan stail seniman jalanan (ala ala kopratasa punya hairstyle) yng begitu sinonim dengan kehidupan di zaman 80-an, selekeh juga lah penampilannya. tetapi bila dengar suaranya, fuhhhhhh....... nasib seorg seniman yang mungkin tiada rupa tetapi bakat yang beliau ada, ditambah dengan kebolehan bermain gitar dan harmonika, dan kebolehan menyanyi lagu lagu Inggeris dgn begitu BAIK, kalah juga artis2 yang ada skrg. suaranya merdu husky sket tetapi perghhhhh   tak jemu2 mendengar dendangannya. lagu 'Oh Mak Siti, saya sayang anak makcik' turut dinyanyikan dengan melodi yang diubahsuai. lebih moden. tapi sedap didengar. pendek kata kalau setakat masuk AF mmg pulun habis (jika kita tutup mata dan menggunakan deria telinga untuk mendengar). bukanlah buruk tetapi mmg sikap manusia, yang cantik dinilai terlebih dahulu. saya telah mengambil gambar dia tanpa kebenaran namun hari itu cukup mengingatkan saya pd nostalgia seniman seniman jalanan di tahun tahun 1980an

AMSTERDAM – A Holocaust survivor claims in a new book that Anne Frank distracted younger children from the horrors of a Nazi concentration camp by telling them fairy tales — an account disputed by at least one Frank authority and a childhood friend of the diarist.

The story by Berthe Meijer, now 71, of being a 6-year-old inmate of Bergen Belsen crafts a touching portrait of Anne in the final weeks of her life in the German camp, struggling to keep up her own spirits even as she tried to lift the morale of the smaller children.

That Anne had a gift for storytelling was evident from the diary she kept during two years in hiding with her family in Amsterdam. The scattered pages were collected and published after the war in what became the most widely read book to emerge from the Holocaust.

But Meijer's memoir, being published in Dutch later this month, is the first to mention Anne's talent for spinning tales even in the despair of the camp.

The memoir deals with Meijer's acquaintance with Anne Frank in only a few pages, but she said she titled it "Life After Anne Frank" because it continues the tale of Holocaust victims where the famous diary leaves off.

"The dividing line is where the diary of Anne Frank ends. Because then you fall into a big black hole," Meijer told The Associated Press at her Amsterdam home.

Annemarie Bekker, a spokeswoman for the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam said Berthe Meijer has previously been interviewed by museum historians and she had no reason to doubt Meijer's testimony.

"It could very well be true," Bekker said. "We can't confirm it or deny it."

But Hannah Pick-Goslar, a childhood friend of Anne Frank who also met her in Bergen Belsen, said she doubted Meijer's recollection was accurate.

"In that condition, you almost died," she said in a telephone call from her home in Jerusalem. "You had no strength to tell stories."

Dutch filmmaker Willy Lindwer, who made an Emmy Award-winning documentary about Anne Frank, said he interviewed Meijer for the film and found her story unconvincing.

"Berthe ... had not more than a very vague recollection of this concentration camp," he said in an emailed message to The Associated Press. "She recalled the image of an older girl who told stories to younger children. It may have been Anne Frank, but also maybe not. Very vague."

A spokeswoman for Meijer's publisher, De Bezige Bij, said it had not vetted facts in the book itself. "It's possible that other witnesses will have differing memory of events in the book," said Suzanne Holtzer. But she said the publisher considered Meijer to be "an absolute authority."

Anne's final diary entry was on Aug. 1, 1944, three days before she and her family were arrested. She and her older sister Margot died in March 1945 in a typhus epidemic that swept through Bergen Belsen, just two weeks before the camp was liberated. Anne was 15.

The stories Anne told were "fairy tales in which nasty things happened, and that was of course very much related to the war," Meijer said.

"But as a kid you get lifted out of the everyday nastiness. That's something I remember. You're listening to someone telling something that has nothing to do with what's happening around you — so it's a bit of escape."

In addition to her diary, Frank wrote several essays and fragments of fiction while in hiding, including stories about a fairy and a gnome, though they are usually considered only of historical interest. They have been published as "Tales From the Secret Annex."

The stories she told in the camp were "about princes and elves and those kind of figures," Meijer said. Despite having unhappy twists, the tales were "quite a bit less terrible than what we saw around us. So you thought: they didn't have it so bad. As a child, you think very primitively about that kind of thing."

Around 140,000 Jews lived in the Netherlands before the 1940-45 Nazi occupation. Of those, 107,000 were deported to Germany and only 5,200 survived.

The Meijers and the Franks were acquaintances before the war: members of both families had fled Germany during the rise of Hitler's regime and found a place in the tightly-knit Jewish community in Amsterdam. The Meijers lived on the same street where Anne attended a Montessori elementary school.

The Franks went into hiding in a secret apartment above a canal-side warehouse where Otto Frank, Anne's father, had his business.

The Meijers hid in their own home, boarding up the windows and hanging a sign on the door that read "contagious disease" to discourage visitors. They were caught in early 1944 and deported from the Netherlands that March. Both of Berthe's parents died at Bergen Belsen in January 1945.

Dr. Alan Hilfer, director of psychology at Maimonides Medical Center in New York, said it's plausible that Meijer would have recognized Frank and stored the memory all these years if she knew her before the war and if she met her again at the camp.
A child of six or seven can "form memories reasonably well and hold on to them, though not in the same way as an adult," he said.

Records obtained by The Associated Press from Yad Vashem, the Israeli Holocaust memorial authority, show that Berthe was an inmate of Bergen Belsen for 13 months until it was liberated in April 1945.

Meijer acknowledged that her recollections of the Frank sisters were fleeting.

She said there were many reasons she had waited until now to tell her story — not least that she was busy growing up, having a career and raising a family. She said a dedication ceremony at Bergen Belsen in 2006 made her realize how few Dutch survivors are still alive, and that there is little record of the impact the camp had on their later lives.

In addition, she suppressed her memories for years, and the horror of the camps have always been a difficult or taboo subject: at the orphanage where Meijer grew up, in polite company afterward, and even among her fellow survivors.
Still, "you remember a lot at age 7," she said. Meijer turned 7 in April 1945.

"You had to take off your clothes because there were lice in them that spread typhus. And you were wrapped in those blankets. And you sat somewhere in a corner half-frozen."

She said Margot had asked Anne to tell stories to cheer up the children, and that it was difficult for Anne to summon the enthusiasm.

The last time she saw Anne was in the camp infirmary, but they were both sick and "too weak and sad to even be pleasant to each other," she wrote.

In some ways, Meijer grew up to be the person Anne had hoped to be, a journalist, a columnist and an author, albeit of a popular Dutch cookbook.

In her diary Anne wrote in April 1944: "I can shake off everything if I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn. But, and that is the great question, will I ever be able to write something great, will I ever become a journalist or a writer?"

Although Meijer associated with leading Dutch writers and artists, she said she suffered lifelong symptoms of post-traumatic stress, with overwhelming memories and emotions surfacing unexpectedly.

To this day she has a paralyzing fear of crowds and public transportation.

In her book, she wonders about her choices in marrying first a gifted, but alcoholic architect and later one of the Netherlands' most famed journalists — not coincidentally, another Bergen Belsen survivor.

She says she can laugh "through the tears" about having become a culinary expert years after fantasizing endlessly about food while starving at the camp.

She describes how the simple act of cleaning sauce from a pan with her finger can trigger the ambiguously pleasant memory of being allowed to lick one of the camp's enormous cooking vats.

And she proudly shows off a concealed crawl space behind an opening in her cellar where she could hide if need be.

In history books, "the war ends when we were liberated. No. Not for a lot of people," she says.

"Not for the lives of the people who survived those camps or went into hiding or had traumatic experiences because of that war. Those things, they don't go away."

Saya ingin bertanya samada logo halal tu hanya di keluarkan oleh pihak HDC sahaja atau sebaliknya. Ini adalah kerana kebanyakkan premis restoran di sekitar Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya mempamirkan logo halal "South east asia Islamic Council" yang beralamat di Taman Tun Dr Ismail, KL.

Ini mendatangkan banyak kemusykilan tentang kesahihan sijil halal yang dipamerkan.

Saya adalah penggemar dan sejak dahulu lagi sehingga sekarang saya minum minuman ringan jenama Ribena. sebelum ini saya telah diberitahu rakan bahawa ia mengandungi sedikit arak, tapi saya tidak endahkan kerana tiada bukti kukuh. dan baru-baru ini saya telah menerima emel dari rakan lain yg mengatakan Ribena mengandugi arak (saya tidak pasti samaada arak atau alkohol).

saya baru mendapat email tentang status halal ayam kfc.mengikut email diberitahu tentang cara penyembelihan kfc tidak mengikut hukum. contohnya disembelih oleh perempuan, ayam yg mati bukan disebabkan sembelih tetapi terus direndam dalam air panas selepas disembelih,maknanya ayam berkenaan mati disebabkan air panas tersebut.saya menjadi was2 untuk makan kfc tapi status halal masih terdapat pada produk tersebut.email itu pula adalah pengalaman dari bekas2 pekerja kfc sendiri iaitu mereka sendiri yang melihat cara penyembelihan ayam itu.

Jawapan : KEPADA SESIAPA YANG BERKENAAN, Isu Ustaz Daud Che Ngah dan Ayam KFC / Produk AYAMAS Saya merujuk kepada email FITNAH yang masih terus disebarkan oleh pihak-pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab berkaitan dengan perkara diatas yang sedikit sebanyak menjejaskan kredibiliti dan integriti KFC dan QSR Brands (M) Berhad sebagai sebuah syarikat yang dikuasai oleh Jcorp melalui Kulim Berhad sejak Julai 2006 dalam industri penyediaan makanan Halal. Sejak pengambil alihan tersebut, diantara perkara UTAMA dan TERPENTING diambil tindakan oleh pihak pengurusan syarikat ialah penubuhan Jabatan Shariah & Pematuhan Halal yang mengendalikan ursuan berkaitan pemantauan Halal dalaman bagi mempastikan semua produknya disediakan selamat dan Halal dimakan oleh umat Islam. Dengan panduan yang diberi oleh Majlis Penasihat Shariah, jabatan ini bukan sahaja bergantung kepada pemantauan bebas HDC (dulunya JAKIM) dalam soal pematuhan Halal oleh setiap unit bisness di dalam syarikat kumpulan nya, malah, lebih jauh daripada itu syarikat telah mewujudkan Unit Audit Halal yang mengambil tanggung jawab memantau dengan rapi setiap tahap penyediaan dan proses produk keluaran nya. Saya nak bertanya, adakah "JOHNNY’S RESTAURANT" disahkan HALAL 100% oleh Jakim, baik makanan dan juga minumanya.
Ini kerana saya telah menyemak statusnya disini namun rekod tidak ditemui, malah saya pernah nampak restoran ini memaparkan status HALAL, jadi adakah sijil HALAL telah luput ataupun memang mereka tidak pernah memohon sijil HALAL.

Rata-rata pengujung adalah Masyarakat Islam, dan jika ada logo HALAL walhal tidak HALAL maka ini telah dianggap menipu serta tidak sensitif terhadap masyarakat ISLAM.

Saya telah menghantar emel ke Oldtown White Coffree untuk menanyakan sijil halal yang dipaparkan dalam lawan web mereka (oldtown.com.my>>our business>>our lourels) tentang mengapa sijil dikeluarkan JAIP itu hanya mengesahkan minuman sahaja, bukan makanan.

Mereka telah membalas emel saya dengan menyatakan mereka mendapat pengesahan dari SAS-H Consultants Sdn.Bhd. (CO.NO. 704021-P) di mana mengikut mereka, syarikat ini bekerja rapat dengan JAKIM dan mengikut ISO 1500-2004.

Soalannya apakah benar kenyataan mereka ini.

Selain itu, mereka menegaskan premis mereka adalah 'Pork Free'. Itu maklum kerana menunya sememangnya tidak ada hidangan tersebut. Cuma, kemusykilannya bagaimana status sembelihan ayam untuk makanan mereka kerana ada beberapa hidangan mengandungi ayam.

Jawapan : Salam. Persijilan halal pada dasarnya adalah atas kerelaan (voluntarily ). Tiada paksaan atau kewajipan untuk sesiapa mendapat pengesahan halal. Tiada paksaan dari aspek perundangan. Tetapi, halal thoyyiba adalah wajib bagi umat Islam. Persijilan halal diberikan kepada dapur hotel sahaja. Bukan dewan(Banquet Hall). Setakat ini, hanya 21 buah hotel di seleuruh Malaysia yang mendapat pengesahan halal HDC/JAKIM bagi dapur tertentu.
